School supply donations are accepted during the months of June, July and August. STEP packs a bag for each registered St. Louis Park child based on the supply list for their school and grade.

STEP packs a bag for each registered St. Louis Park child based on the supply list for their school and grade. Critically needed school supplies are:

  • Zip Binders – Must be 3 inch
  • Paper folders without prongs: RED (No purple or black)
  • College ruled spiral notebooks: BLUE,GREEN,YELLOW (No purple)
  • Wide ruled spiral notebooks: RED
  • Loose leaf paper – College and Wide ruled
  • Plastic folders without prongs: RED
  • Plastic page protectors
  • Crayola Colored Pencils – 12 count
  • Pink bar erasers
  • Highlighters – Thick/Large (no thin)
  • Crayola washable markers – 10 count package
  • WASHABLE 8 pan paints – Prang or Crayola
  • Pencil Pouches
  • Pencil Sharpeners
  • Post-it Note pads – 3X3
  • Plastic rulers
  • Ballpoint Pens: BLUE  (No black or red)
  • Expo Dry Erase Markers – package of 4 colors (NO BLACK)

Items that are NOT needed are:

  • Comp Notebooks – Black
  • Blunt Scissors
  • Wooden rulers
  • Pronged paper or plastic two-pocket folders

School supply donations should be donated to STEP by August 16, 2018.

Click on Amazon School Supply Wish List and Target School Supply Wish List to donate supplies online.  Items purchased online will be sent directly to STEP.

Donations can be dropped off at STEP at 6812 W. Lake St. in St. Louis Park.  For more information, please call STEP at 952-925-4899.

Please drop off donations during our regular open hours at the back of the building. Pull up in the alley and ring the doorbell. A volunteer will answer, take your donations, and provide you with a receipt. Donations left outside the building when STEP is closed will be considered dumping and be referred to law enforcement. Food, clothing, and other donations are vital to STEP’s mission.
