Please help us welcome our new Volunteer Coordinator – Annie! She started on December 2nd and immediately jumped in to help with the Holiday Train and Holiday Toy Program. Annie started her career in professional theatre and is a certified extrovert, so she is excited to meet new people and hear their stories in this new way.In her free time, Annie enjoys seeing performances, fostering dogs, and singing in choir (Calliope). She lives in Golden Valley with her partner, Paul. Welcome, Annie!
Meet Michael – our new service coordinator! Michael speaks fluent Russian and Spanish and is a perfect addition to our team here at STEP, which sees a large client population of both Russian and Spanish speakers.
Michael received his undergraduate degree from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN and is currently finishing up his Masters in Biological Sciences at the University of Minnesota. He is hoping to attend a genetic counseling program in the fall.
In his free time, Michael enjoys playing piano and violin and is a member of the Golden Valley Orchestra, the main community orchestra in the West Metro. He also is an avid tennis (and recent pickleball) player, and yes – it is possible to play both. 
Michael is very happy to be at STEP and looks forward to meeting everyone!
