St Louis Park Emergency Program (STEP) aspires to be a pillar of our community for connecting residents with resources to fulfill their basic needs. When we serve, we look outside of ourselves, seeking to bring value to others. And all of us can serve. As Martin Luther King said, “Everyone can be great, because everyone can serve.”

STEP is inviting community members to join our Board of Directors. The Board meets monthly to provide strategic direction, oversight and support of STEP’s mission of responding to neighbors in need by providing access to vital services that foster stability. STEP is best served by a Board that is comprised of people from a wide spectrum of backgrounds, experiences, skills, and perspectives, who all share a commitment to serving the mission.

If you are interested, please RSVP for one of two information sessions Wednesday, June 14, 1:00 or Wednesday, June 21, 6:00 at https://bit.ly/STEPBoard23. These sessions will be an opportunity to get information, ask questions about STEP’s mission and Board responsibilities, and the Board application process. If you are unable to make either time but are interested, contact Derek Reise (derek@stepslp.org).

Also, we would like to invite anyone interested to STEP’s annual Cocktails and Canapes event held at Westwood Hills Nature Center, 8300 W Franklin Ave, St Louis Park, MN 55426 on Thursday, June 1. It is a casual gathering of staff, Board and community members with live music, food and beverages. If interested, RSVP at stepslp.org.
